Intense greens and deep blues, as used in this modern take on a classic Fair Isle slipover, were signature colours for romantic artists and designers such as William Morris. He printed his first wallpapers with woodblocks and natural dyes, showing how fundamental nature was to his work.

Materials

• Scheepjes Our Tribe (70% Superwash Merino Wool, 30% Polyamide; 100g/420m)
  Olive/Blue Colourway:
  Yarn A: 879 Olive Wreath x 1 (2: 2: 2: 2) balls
  Yarn B: 884 Iris Garden x 1 ball
  Yarn C: 882 Blue Flower Haze x 1 ball
  Yarn D: 975 Canadutch x 1 ball
• 2mm circular needles 60cm
• 2.5mm knitting needles 2.5-3mm crochet hook for picking up sts (optional)
• 1 x locking stitch marker
• 1 x closed stitch marker
• 1 x stitch holder
