Materials: Scheepjes Stone Washed XL aqua blue (855) 5–5–6 balls, coral/orange (856) 4–4–5 balls, bordeaux red (850) 4–5–5 balls, size 5 crochet hook.

Gauge: 14 sts and 8 rows in Pattern st = 10 x 10 cm. Take time to check gauge and switch hook if necessary.

Stitches: Crochet chain, Single crochet, Double crochet.

Pattern st: work following chart. Work rows 1 through 5 one time, then always repeat rows 2 through 5. Always repeat the 6 stitches in width. Whenever Double crochet meet at the bottom, they are worked in the same base stitch.

Stripe pattern: *2 rows using bordeaux red, 2 rows using coral/orange, 2 rows using aqua blue, repeat from *.

Directions:

Back: Using aqua blue chain 60–66–72 sts and work 5 rows Double crochet, beginning each row with 3 chain sts replacing one Double crochet. Continue to work in Pattern st and Stripe pattern, in the 1^st row evenly increasing 12 sts by working 12 times 2 sts in one Double crochet. Sleeves: when work measures 40–39–38 cm increase 4 times 3 sts at both edges. Neckline: when work measures 60–61–62 cm leave the center 28–28–30 sts unworked and continue to work each half separately until total length is 62–64–66 cm. Fasten off.

Front: Work same as back until total length is 49 cm. Neckline: leave the center 28–28–30 sts unworked and continue to work each half separately until you reach the same height as back. Fasten off.

Finishing: Sew shoulder seams. Sew side and underarm seams. If a bloused effect is desired, weave thin elastic thread through the last row of the lower 6 cm in turquoise. Using turquoise work 1 row Double crochet along neck edge. Note: at the corners Double crochet 3 together. Using turquoise work 60–63–66 Double crochet along sleeves. Fasten off.
