Pullover made of Softfun
By ScheepjesMaterials: Scheepjes Softfun white (2412) 6–6–7 balls, blue (2463) 2 balls, turquoise (2511) 1 ball, tomato red (2449) 1 ball, size 3 ½ – 4 knitting needles.
Gauge: 21 sts and 30 rows in Stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm. Take time to check gauge and switch needles if necessary.
Stitches:
2x2 Ribbing: alternately K2 and P2.
Stockinette st: on right side knit, on wrong side purl.
Jacquard pattern: work following chart, the stitch you start with is counted from the center (M = center). The yarn you are not using is carried loosely across the back of work. Work chart 1 time and repeat from the 1st row until the indicated height. Each square is 1 stitch in width and 1 row in height. Open square = white, v = blue, o = turquoise, –– = tomato red.
Garter st: knit each row.
Work raglan decrease each right side row as follows: 1 edge st, slip 1 st, work 1 st and PSSO, work to the last 3 sts on LH needle, K2 tog, 1 edge st.
Directions:
Back and front: Using white cast on 82–90–98 sts and work 8 cm in 2x2 Ribbing, in the last wrong side row evenly increasing sts to obtain 85–93–101 sts. Continue to work in Stockinette st and increase 2 times 1 st at both edges, every 11 cm, = 89–97–105 sts. Raglan shaping: when work measures 31 cm bind off at both edges 2–3–3 sts. Continue to work the Jacquard pattern, the stitch you start with is counted from stitch marked M in chart. Now decrease as follows: Size 36/38: at both edges alternately decrease 21 times 1 st, every 2 rows and 2 times 1 st, every 4 rows. Size 40/42: at both edges decrease 26 times 1 st, every 2 rows. Size 44/46: at both edges decrease 1 time 2 sts in the following 2nd row and 28 times 1 st, every following 2 rows. When work measures 49–50–51 cm, using white work 7 rows in Garter st over the rem 39 sts, at the same time at both edges decreasing 1 st in the 4th row. Bind off the rem 37 sts.
Sleeves: Using white cast on 42–46–46 sts and work 8 cm in 2x2 Ribbing, in the last wrong side row evenly increasing to obtain 45–47–49 sts. Continue to work in Stockinette st and for sleeve width increase 13–14–15 times 1 st at both edges, every following 8–7–7 rows, = 71–75–79 sts. Raglan shaping: when work measures 46 cm bind off 2–3–3 sts at both edges. Continue to work in Jacquard pattern, the stitch you start with is counted from stitch marked M in chart. Now decrease as follows: SIZE 36/38: at both edges decrease 24 times 1 st, every 2 rows. SIZE 40/42: at both edges decrease 25 times 1 st, every 2 rows. SIZE 44/46: alternately decrease 25 times 1 st at both edges, every 2 rows and 2 times 1 st at both edges, every 4 rows. When work measures 64–65–66 cm, using white work 7 rows in Garter st over the last 19 sts, at the same time decreasing 1 st at both edges, in the 4th row.
Finishing: Sew raglan seams. Sew side and underarm seams.
