Pretty Little Things 29 - Christmas in July
There are all sorts of reasons to start crafting for Christmas early. Some of us just love everything about Christmas and make it a 365-day affair! Then there’s the super-organised, who source cards, paper and festive craft supplies in the sales and have everything made and wrapped by summer. Many of us though, have the best of intentions, find the busy festive season sneaks up on us, and by then it’s too late. That’s why Scheepjes created Pretty Little Things 29 – Christmas in July!
This issue is here in good time to offer all the inspiration to create a perfect handmade Christmas, and maybe learn some new skills along the way. Liz Barraclough’s Santa Beaded Bookmark is woven on a loom and would make a thoughtful gift, along with a novel, as an extra surprise for a booklover. Kate McCully’s Amigurumi Nutcracker is light enough to send across the miles. Imagine the delight of a far-flung friend or family member opening the parcel and discovering you took the time to crochet this adorable little character just for them! With preparations made early this year, by December you could be sitting back in comfort with Cher Marcus’ soft knitted Festive Tree Cushion Cover, content with Christmas movies, good books and a seasonal tipple!
The projects in this edition were made using Scheepjes Eliza, Scheepjes Catona, Scheepjes Furry Tails and Toho Round Glass Beads.
