Illusion Blanket
By Jellina CreationsOriginally created using Scheepjes Colour Crafter yarn, this design—first known as the Colour Study Throw—was featured in YARN Bookazine 4: Dutch Masters. A timeless creation, it continues to captivate the Scheepjes team. During the planning of YARN Bookazine 18: The Family Issue, we reimagined this striking blanket in rich blue tones inspired by Delft pottery. Delft Blue's origins date back to the 17th century, a golden age for Dutch art. Blue, Holland, art, and craftsmanship are inseparable, making this the perfect heirloom blanket to crochet for your family.
Now crafted in Scheepjes Terrazzo, a felted tweed-effect yarn, this version offers natural warmth with a touch of nurturing luxury. The lightweight blend of recycled wool and viscose provides softness and durability, while the yarn’s multi-tonal shades and subtle flecks add rich texture, giving the blanket a timeless quality.
